Even though it was the holidays, Beth was quick to respond to my question about available colors and even followed up to be sure I had what I needed. We ordered 5, one for each member of the pack. Each was well made, nicely stitched with the pup's name and each slightly different from the other. Beth's prices were fair and the quality was high. If you visit Beth, tell her Hannah sent you.

Shutterfly makes just the most excellent coffee mugs with your own photos on them. We like the 11oz black because they fit under our one-cup-at-a-time coffee maker and fill just to the top. They aren't cheap, but the customer service has been very good when I had to return one and they package them to be delivered by gorillas. |

A complete DNA sequence of the dog is now available to academic researchers throughout the world. This resource, which was funded by the National Institutes of Health at a cost of over $30 Million, renders obsolete all preceding genetic maps of the dog, and creates an entirely new opportunity to tie genes to diseases and traits.
To fully leverage this emerging resource, the Center for Veterinary Genetics at the University of California School of Veterinary Medicine is calling for cheek swab samples from distinct populations of dogs with the express purpose of assembling a comprehensive genetic repository that represents all of 'dogdom'. While the current DNA bank adequately reflects the genetic legacy of more than 100 recognized breeds, an additional 400 international canine populations remain unrepresented.
